Very little is known about Bob Smith (guitar, vocals), who was somehow able to successfully wrangle up some exemplary L.A. based backing musicians to assist in the recording of his 1970 double-LP The Visit. Session players of note include Don Preston (moog, mellotron) of the Mothers Of Invention and Daryl Dragon who is credited on the album as "Captain Keyboard", a nickname given to him by Mike Love of the Beach Boys. Dragon had previously been a member of the Mission and later found fame and fortune in the 70s as "the Captain" in the Captain & Tennille. The highlight on the album is the spacey 'Don't Tell Lady Tonight'.
