Very little is known of this U.K. ensemble that issued one 45 ('Monday Morning Rain' b/w 'Monday Morning Rain (Instrumental Version)') on the Page One label in the autumn of 1967. The single was written by Chip Taylor (younger brothr of actor Jon Voight) who also penned the hard driving 'Wild Thing', which became a #1 smash for the Troggs over a year earlier. The record was produced by Larry Page, who owned Page One Records, so it is suspected that the Pipes Of Pan may have been a studio concoction created solely to record this song.
