This New York City based, studio only ensemble was concocted in 1969 by successful Columbia Records engineer Don Meehan with the assistance of producer and arranger Jimmy "Wiz" Wisner. It all supposedly started when Meehan dug the song 'House In The Country' by Blood Sweat & Tears so much that he decided to record a version of it on his own through their shared label. This rather unique version was released as a single during the spring of 1969 and is quite good in its own weird way.
