Nothing much is known about the mysterious Sweet Smoke except for what is written in the liner notes contained on the back of the very rare 1968 Colstar psychedelic rock compilation LP San Francisco International Pop Festival, Volume 1 , which claims they were famous and from San Francisco like most of the artists on the record. Interestingly, the photo of Sweet Smoke on the back of the album, shown to the right and looking more like a high school graduation picture, is of a single female thus speculating it could have been her nickname.
