Spirit was an incredibly unique, Los Angeles band that formed in 1967 and proficiently pioneered a blended link between late 60s psychedelia and early 70s progressive rock. Original members included Jay Ferguson (lead vocals, percussion), Randy "California" Wolfe (lead guitar, vocals), Mark Andes (bass, vocals), Ed "Cass" Cassidy (drums, percussion) and John Locke (keyboards).
