National Bank Of Sound

From: Seattle, WA, USA

Almost nothing is known about this obscure Seattle outfit that issued a single ('Me And My Friends' b/w 'God Bless America') on the Sea-West (short for Seattle West) label during the spring of 1971. The outstanding A-side featured here on TWOS, penned by R. LeBoeuf and produced by Rick Keefer, is a dreamy ballad that makes good use of the mellotron and well placed sound effects. Although released in the early 70s, the song sounds more like a lost track from around 1968. Apparently it received some radio airplay, was given a Bill Gavin "personal pick" and was a big enough hit along the U.S. West Coast to be picked up by Polydor for distribution in Canada.
