From: London, England
This rather unknown London duo consisted of Rod Edwards (vocals, keyboards) and Roger Hand (vocals, guitar) who, after breaking up their former band Picadilly Line, issued two albums and a handful of supporting singles between 1969 and 1970. Their self-titled debut LP was issued in late '69 on the GRT label in the U.S. only and contains the standout track 'Banjo Pier'
A second LP titled Stranded followed in 1970 on the RCA Victor label, was this time released in a number of countries including the U.K. and includes the highlight 'Hello America'. All of their material was produced by George Martin, while taking a break from working on The Beatles' "White Album", who described their music as "exceptional". Unfortunately none of their records sold that exceptionally and they soon faded away into obscurity.
