This New Mexico outfit formed while in junior high school in the early 60s as the Court Jesters. Original members included Martin Nassif (lead guitar, lead vocals), Don Kinney (bass), Doug Borthwick (drums) and Bill Chreist (organ). They changed their name to the Hooterville Trolley in 1967 as a play on words with the song 'The Toonerville Trolley' by the Electric Prunes . In 1968 they issued the classic psychedelic single 'No Silver Bird', which was written by Ernie Phillips.
