Before going solo, Gordon Jackson had previously played in the bands the Hellions, the Revolution and Deep Feeling with Jim Capaldi and Dave Mason of Traffic fame. He issued his one and only LP (Thinking Back) in 1969, which features all of the original members of Traffic, along with Rick Grech, Jim King and John "Poli" Palmer of Family. The LP was also produced by Dave Mason of Traffic and surprisingly only contains a few standout tracks ('The Journey' and 'When You Are Small').
