From: London, England
The Tickle was a short-lived, obscure London based band that evolved out of the Bunch Of Fives and issued one single (the fantastic 'Subway (Smokey Pokey World)' b/w 'Good Evening') in late 1967, which was produced by Tony Visconti. Group members included Mick Wayne (guitar, vocals) and Dave Stewart (keyboards) who co-wrote both songs on the record, along with frontman Mike Docker (vocals), Richard Dowling (bass) and John Beckerman (drums). After the band broke up, Stewart went on to become a member of Egg, while Wayne ended up forming Junior's Eyes, which backed David Bowie on his 1969 LP Space Oddity.
