Very little is known about this short-lived L.A. area outfit that evolved out of the Heathens in 1967 and issued one single ('I Gotta Get Back To My Baby' b/w the excellent 'The Amazing Three') on the Amazing 3 label in the summer of 1968, which was arranged by Gary Paxton. Original members included Gary Stovall (guitar, vocals), Don Adey (guitar, vocals), Mick Newton (keyboards), Dirk Acree (bass) and Al Stigler (drums). It wasn't long before the the group's manager, Clint Stovall, set the band up with an audition at Gazarri's nightclub on Hollywood's Sunset Strip, which they passed with flying colors and became one of the club's house bands.
Later in '67, Stovall introduced the band to previously mentioned producer Paxton who took them into the studio where they recorded a collection of songs that were planned to be issued as an LP, but the release never came to fruition. In March, 1968, Stigler was drafted into the military and was replaced by Fred Darling (drums) before the group called it quits towards the end of the year. The catchy B-side of their 45, which was written by Acree, makes outstanding use of distortion, fuzz and tempo changes that any 60s psych fan should dig heavily.
