From: Largs, Scotland

The Cups were a one 45 ('Good As Gold' b/w 'My Life And Times') alias for the successful Scottish duo Gallagher & Lyle. The record was produced by Apple Music and initially issued in the U.S. during the summer of 1969 on the Tetragrammaton label, and then in the U.K. that fall on Polydor. The A-side is a fast paced, Who and late-Beatles inspired burner that is great enough to have been a top seller, but for some reason never hit the mark.

Artist information sources include: The book, 'Tapestry of Delights Revisited' by Vernon Joynson.
