The Tickle

From: London, England

The Tickle was a short-lived, obscure London based band that evolved out of the Bunch Of Fives and issued one single (the fantastic 'Subway (Smokey Pokey World)' b/w 'Good Evening') in late 1967. The only two known members of the ensemble were Mick Wayne (guitar, vocals) and Dave Stewart (keyboards) who co-wrote both songs on the record. After the group broke up, Stewart went on to become a member of Egg, while Wayne ended up forming Junior's Eyes, which backed David Bowie on his first, 1969 LP 'Space Oddity'.
