Not much is known of this London group that issued four 45s and an LP creatively titled The Huge World Of Emily Small on the CBS label between 1967 and 1968. They named themselves after a busy portion of their city's underground railway system known as "the Tube". Original members included Rod Edwards (keyboards, vocals), Roger Hand (acoustic guitar, vocals), former Poets and Scots Of St. James alumnus Norrie McLean (bass), and Keith Hodge (drums).

Sometime after the 1967 "Emily Small" album, Hodge was replaced by George Butler (drums, vocals), McLean left the fold and Janice Barber was brought in as a female vocalist as shown in the group photo. The highlight of their work is the excellent 'At The Third Stroke', which can be found on the A-side of their first 45 and the aforementioned LP. After their records didn't sell that well, Edwards and Hand dismantled the band and released a few albums as the duo Edwards Hand.
