This Worcester outfit's genesis can be traced back to 1963 and the Hellions, which included Dave Mason (guitar, vocals) and Jim Capaldi (drums, vocals) of future Traffic fame, along with Gordon Jackson (rhythm guitar, vocals), Dave Meredith (bass) and John "Poli" Palmer (flute, vibraphone, drums). In 1966, they first changed their name to the Revolution, and then to Deep Feeling after adding Luther Grosvenor (lead guitar, vocals).

The band gigged heavily around south central England, including at Birmingham's Elbow Room and London's Marquee. They also recorded a slew of songs as Deep Feeling, but never had any vinyl officially released. Highlights from their recordings include 'On The Circle Of Life' and 'Or Something'. The group finally ended up calling it quits in early 1967. It should also be noted that Grosvenor became a founding member of Art/Spooky Tooth later in '67 and Palmer went on to join the Blossom Toes in 1968 and then Eclection and Family in 1969.
